Mr. Alvin E. Dunavant age 88, of Parsons, TN passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019 at Decatur County Health Care and Rehab in Parsons, TN.

He is survived by his Daughter, Gail Hodges of Henderson, TN; Sister, Doris Marie (Gerald) Martin of Decaturville, TN; 3 Grandchildren; 3 Step-Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Nellie Mae Dunavant; Mother, Hattie Dunavant; Father, James Bedford Dunavant; Brother, James Ralph Dunavant;

The Dunavant family will receive friends on Monday April 8, 2019 from 2:30PM until 8:00PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will continue on Tuesday April 9, 2019 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will continue on Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 10:00AM until time of service. Services will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at 2:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
