Ella Mae Mullinax

Ella Mae Ballinger Mullinax, age 92 of Parsons, TN went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 27, 2018. Ella was born on July 22, 1926 in Decatur County Tennessee. She was preceded in her death by her husband, Coy Mullinax, her parents, Dock and Neal Ballinger, her siblings, Jessie Green, D.B. Ballinger, Lena Ballinger, and Delmar Ballinger.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Mullinax and her husband, Art Costello of Austin, TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ella was a beautician for many years in Memphis. After retirement she and her husband moved several times before settling in her home town of Parsons, TN. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Parsons where she was a member of a Sunday School Class and she studied the Bible with many wonderful friends there throughout the years. One of the Things she will be remembered is how she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all.

Special thanks to the staff at Decatur County Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for the genuine, loving way they cared for her for the past few years. An extra special thanks to Rosalind Laster! Before entering the nursing home, she would stop by Ella's home a few times a week to check on her which allowed her to live independently longer. Her friendship with Rosalind was on e she cherished until the end of her life.

A graveside service was held at Yellow Springs Cemetery in Holladay, TN on July 28, 2018.
