Johnny Long Obituary

Johnny Randall Long, 70, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Oconee Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born in Parsons, TN, he was a son of the late Gordon and Emma Lou Colwick Long. John was a graduate of University of Tennessee and was a professional land surveyor, registered in NC, SC, TN and GA. He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker and Registered Forester. He was in private practice as a surveyor for 35 years in Clemson and Parsons, TN, helping to develop many residential and commercial developments in Western NC and upstate SC areas. He was owner of Parsons Mini Storage and loved his family farm in the Bible Hill Community where he grew up farming.

Surviving are daughters, Linsay Long of West Hollywood, CA and Amy Allaire (John) of Buffalo, NY; brothers, Bob Long and Larry Carrington (Carol) of Jackson, TN; and grandchildren, Drew and Owen Allaire.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother J.A. Carrington.

Visitation with the Long Family will be on Saturday July 21, 2018 from 9:00AM until time of service.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Parsons Mortuary Chapel with Burial to follow in the Bible Hill Cemetery in Parsons, TN.
