Billy "Bill" Western Obituary

Billy (Bill) Neal Western, born March 22, 1958, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 66. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Billy was a longtime resident of Parsons, Tennessee and an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Renee (Miller) Western, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and joy. Together, they raised three daughters, Angela Clere and Jennifer Hatfield, both residing in Clarksville, Tennessee, and an adopted daughter, Emilie Fleming residing in Knoxville, Tennessee. Bill was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren; Jacob Hatfield, Katie Hatfield, Connor Hatfield, Thomas 'Q' Clere, Logan Clere, Nolan Hatfield, and Sebastian Clere, each of whom brought him boundless pride and happiness. He was also a cherished godfather to Traci, as well as a father figure to many other beloved children, who were part of his extended family in heart and spirit and fondly called him “Bill Bill”.

Bill was born to Mable (Western) Greenmun, who survives him, and the late Roger Western. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Reeves, and his brother, Terrell Western. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger, and his youngest sister, Shelly Rouse.

Bill’s warmth, humor, and steadfast presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him always for his kindness, unwavering love, and ability to fix anything.

Visitation with the Western family will be held on Sunday November 3, 2024, from 1:00PM until 8:00PM at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Parsons, TN. Visitation will continue Monday November 4, 2024, from 9:00AM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 4, 2024, at 11:00AM at the Crossroads Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Parsons, TN.
