Bridget Lehman Obituary

BRIDGET DENELL (MAYS) LEHMAN

Born: August 4, 1959 in Taylorville, IL.

Deceased: Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Columbia, TN at 4:30pm.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel Kenneth Lehman; one son and daughter-in-law, Brenton Daniel Lehman and Aimee Lauren Roberson Lehman, 3 grandchildren: Charlotte, William & Theodore Lehman; her mother and father, Bill and Betty Mays of Parsons, TN; and a host of family and friends.

A graduate of Taylorville High School in Taylorville, IL, she also attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO majoring in world missions and music.

Bridget and her husband met and married at the Cherry Street Baptist Church, Springfield, MO, September 15, 1984.

As a pastor/worship pastor’s wife for 30+ years, her main passion was worship music and is described as “loving hard” her family, friends and loved ones in various ministries from Texas to Arkansas to Missouri to Florida. The 3 grandchildren were “the apple of her eye” and they brought her an overflowing joy. Her husband describes her as “a woman of greater influence and impact than she would ever admit or give herself credit for.” This has been borne out by the abundance of social media and direct messaging received by her family.

God touched the world through Mrs. Bridget Lehman and after a 2 week struggle with Covid-19, she had “fought the good fight, (she) finished the race, (she) had kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for (her) the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to (her) on that day, and not only to (her) but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8

The memorial service will be conducted at the Parsons First Baptist Church in Parsons, TN on Saturday Jan. 23, 2021. Visitation will be 11:00 AM followed by the memorial service at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at a private graveside service.
