Cathy Still

Catherine Mary Still, know as “Cathy” to friends and family, 68 of Holladay, Tennessee passed away Tuesday July 23, 2024.

Cathy was born June 5, 1956, and raised in Chicago, Illinois and attended Wauconda High School. For many years she worked at a convent, in service occupations, but ultimately retired as a lunch lady from Decatur County Middle School.

In 1974, she married Remoules Henry Still better known as Ronnie. They built a mosaic of their life together for 29 years until he passed away. They had millions of moments that created their story together.

Cathy loved her family. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children especially her grandchildren. She was our best friend, and she walked this path of life with each of us.

Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Remoules Henry Still, her sister Cheryl Vernola, grandparents Albert & Ester Grezenia and Michael Joseph Vernola & Catherine Vernola.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her parents, Joseph Michael Vernola & Alberta Vernola; loving children, Ryan “Rhino” Lee (Nikki) Still and Jennifer Lynn Tubbs; Grandchildren Colten Levi Tubbs, Carly Elanda Tubbs, Bryce Allan Zyla, and Brayden Tucker Zyla; Brother Michael (Dawn) Vernola; Sisters Diane (Paul) Wasney and Diane (Rick) Border; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday July 26, 2024, from 4:00PM until 9:00PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will continue Saturday July 27, 2024, from 10:00AM until the time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Franks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Holladay, TN.

Cathy had the biggest heart and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
