Charlotte Mathis

Mrs. Charlotte Mathis age 79 of Parsons, TN, passed away on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, TN.

Born May 12th to the late Arch & Zummer Rushing. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Mathis; brothers, Truman Rushing, Harry Rushing, Jim Rushing, and Benson Rushing; sister, Imogene Weems.

She is survived by daughters, Michelle Mathis of Nashville, TN and Janet Demorest of Parsons, TN; brothers, Jerry Rushing of Decaturville, TN and Nelson Rushing; sisters, Flora Plucinski of Stearling Park, VA, and Mary Nell Tubbs of Parsons, TN; grandchildren, Ryan Demorest and Lauren Demorest; great grandchild, Aubree Charlotte Demorest and soon to be great grandchild in October, Sophia Lucy Demorest.

Visitation for Mrs. Mathis will be held on Saturday Sept. 23, 2023 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday Sept. 24, 2023 from 11:00AM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Sunday Sept. 24, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Yellow Springs Cemetery in Holladay, TN. Bro. Jerry Tubbs officiating.
