Doris Fisher

Mrs. Doris Fisher age 92 of Parsons, TN passed away on Friday October 11, 2024 at her home in Parsons, TN.

Doris loved being involved in her community participating in St. Jude and The Carl Perkins Organizations. When she wasn’t serving her community, she spent her days working as a Paralegal for Townsend & Townsend Law Office. She was a long-time employee for the Townsend Family there at their firm. Doris also worked for ACE Hardware of Parsons in the greenhouse for several years. Doris was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church where she touched many lives working with the youth groups.

She is survived by her son, Martin (Beth) Fisher of Nashville, TN, sister, Bobbie Nell Cotham of Parsons, TN, Several Nieces and Nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fisher; parents, Lucy and Morton Colwick; brothers, Bill Colwick, Erma Colwick, J.T. Colwick, and Marshall Colwick, sisters, Gurthie Hill, Emma Lou Long, Effie Lea Maxwell, Faye Little, Anglee Woods, Martha Cagle, and Betty Biggs.

Visitation for Mrs. Fisher will be held on Sunday Oct. 13, 2024, from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will continue Monday Oct. 14, 2024, from 11:00M until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Monday Oct. 14, 2024, at 1:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Parsons City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to the Gentiva Hospice Foundation as the last days of Mrs. Fisher’s life were blessed with caring people of Gentiva Hospice.
