Faye Byrd

Mrs. Faye Byrd age 93 of Parsons, TN. passed away on Thursday March 25, 2021 at AHC Decatur County in Parsons, TN.

She was the oldest living and a vary faithful member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church where she was saved in 1944. She will be missed by many friends and church members.  

She is survived by her Sister; Patsy Jackson of Holladay, TN, Brothers; Delbert Gilbert of Knoxville, TN, W. C. "Pat" Gilbert Jr. of Vancouver, WA., Several Nieces and Nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her Husband; C. Ray Byrd, Mother; Girtha Gilbert, Father; Clayborne Gilbert, Brother; Orbie Gilbert, Sisters; Dorothy Wilkins, and Lavell Rains.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 26, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will continue on Saturday March 27, 2021 from 12:00PM until time of funeral service at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 2:00PM at the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the New Prospect Cemetery. Bro. Donald Bain officiating. 

The family request no food bought during visitation hours and funeral services. 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the New Prospect Cemetery Fund.
