Mr. H L Townsend Jr. age 85, of Parsons, TN passed away on Friday January 10, 2020 at AHC Decatur County in Parsons, TN.

He is survived by his Wife; Carolyn Boyd Townsend of Parsons, TN, Son; Kyle L. Townsend of Linden, TN, Step-son; D J Wood of CO, Daughter; Valerie R (Adam Brasher) Townsend of Parsons, TN, Step-Daughters; Donna (Scott) Norris of Parsons, TN, Teresa (Danny) Weatherford of Parsons, TN, Staci (Hugh) Raney of Decaturville, TN, Grandchildren; Aniston Townsend, Townsley Brasher, Step-Grandchildren; Sam (Molly) Norris, Jamie (Ashley) Wilson, Angela (Rodney) Tharp, Robert (Sherokee) Weatherford, Dylan Raney, Hannah Wood.

He is preceded in death by his Wife; Ruth Dodson Townsend, Mother; Ruth E Jennings Townsend, Father; Hobart L Townsend.

Funeral Services for Mr. Townsend will be held on Monday January 13, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Mt. Tabor Church in Parsons TN. The church will be open at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in the Parsons City Cemetery in Parsons, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Cancer Society and The Alzheimer's Foundation.
