Mr. J.D. Sims age 85 of Decaturville, TN. passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at AHC Westwood in Decaturville, TN.

He is survived by his son, Barry (Tina) Sims of Dickson, TN; daughters, Cindy Morgan (Mark Klinzing) of Parsons, TN, Jenny (Kendall) Martindale of Decaturville, TN; sisters, Betty Maness of Decaturville, TN, Martha Neunswander of Scotts Hill, TN; grandchildren, Dan Johnson, Brandon Carrington, Josh Sims, LeAnna Sims, Kelly Hicks, B.J. Sims, Andrew Sims, Bryce Sims, Hannah Klinzing, Zach Klinzing; 19 Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Sims; parents, Gladys & Jason Sims; son, Ricky "Possum" Sims; sister, Rebeca Ann Lowe; grandson, Shannon Johnson.

Visitation for Mr. J. D. Sims will be held on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will continue on Friday January 27, 2023 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service at Parsons Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 27, 2023 at 11:00AM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
