James Earl Meggs

Mr. James Earl Meggs age 87 of Decaturville, TN passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023 at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN.

He is survived by his sons, Ronnie Meggs of Parsons, TN and T. J. (Brittany) Meggs of Hollow Rock, TN; daughters, Vicki Ward of Parsons, TN and Rhonda Box of Decaturville, TN; sister, Ruby Lee Sims of Mt. Carmel, TN; grandchildren, Cristal Ward, Bryson Meggs, Brittany Priser, Brian Swenson; great-grandchildren, Tristan Miller, Tanner Miller, and Sophia Moore; great-great-grandchild, Micaiah Miller.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irma & Ben Meggs; wife, Virginia Meggs.

Mr. Meggs visitation will be held on Friday May 12, 2023 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday May 13, 2023 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service at Parsons Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
