James “Jimmy” Thomas White, 83, of Decaturville, TN, passed away June 16, 2023, at Brookdale Jackson Oaks in Jackson, TN.

James was born March 18, 1940, in Decaturville, Tennessee, the son of the late Clarence White and Emma Lois (Britt) White.

James was a 1959 graduate of Decatur County High School and served in the United States Army from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1969. Jimmy loved gardening, helping others, and visiting with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence White and Emma (Lois) Britt White; and siblings, brother Thomas “Tommy” White, and sisters, Glenda Stewart, Emma Katherine Fairchild, and Anna Elrod.

Jimmy is survived by a sister, Ruby Comis, a host of nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Sweet Girl.

Jimmy will be laid to rest with his parents, brother, and sisters with a graveside service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath Springs, TN, on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 2:00PM.
