Jaunita Segraves

Mrs. Jessie Jaunita Angeline Battles Segraves, age 92, of Parsons, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Jaunita was born on October 29, 1933, to the late Dorris Battles and Katherine Battles. She was a loving, caring, and vibrant woman who never met a stranger. Her warm spirit and generous heart touched all who knew her.

A devoted member of Parsons Church of Christ, Jaunita faithfully attended services and, alongside her beloved husband, proudly drove the church bus for many years. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at the Decatur County Senior Citizen Center.

Throughout her life, she was active in her community. She was a member of the Lady Auxiliary, the Fair Board, the Eastern Star, and the VFW Auxiliary. Above all, Jaunita cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and treasured friend.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Roger) Gentry of Parsons, Tennessee, and Shonda (Michael) Boatright of Florida; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; her brothers, Larry Battles of Decaturville, Tennessee, Barry Battles of Linden, Tennessee, and Jerry Battles of Huntingdon, Tennessee; and her sister, Sandra Barber of Hohenwald, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold W. Segraves; her son, Jeff Segraves; her brothers, Paul Battles and Ricky Battles; and her sisters, Becky Presley and Mary Pardon.

Jaunita’s legacy of kindness, faith, and love for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation for Mrs. Jaunita will be held on Friday February 27, 2026, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Parsons Church of Christ. Visitation will resume on Saturday February 28, 2026, from 12:00PM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 2:00PM at the Parsons Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Hare Cemetery in Lexington, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations made in her memory to the Parsons Church of Christ.
