Jean Smith

Mrs. Jean Smith, age 99, of Parsons, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, Tennessee.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Clyde (Freda) Smith of Lexington, Tennessee, Johnny (Ann Janelle) Smith of Parsons, Tennessee, and Mike (Sandy) Smith of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; her daughter, Carolyn (Dwight) Montgomery of Parsons, Tennessee; her brother, Billy Joe Anglin of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; her sister, Diane Martin of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; her sisters-in-law, Lola Anglin of Scotts Hill, Tennessee and Mary Jo Anglin of Parsons, Tennessee; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Nicholson of Milton, Florida.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angela Steindler, Tina Cole, Kevin Smith, Kristy Smith Patterson, Lori Brooke Smith, Stephen Martin Smith, Deanna Hendrix, and Brent Montgomery; her great-grandchildren, Alex Hwang, Haley Hwang, Huey Cole, Dani-Lynn Smith, Grant Patterson, Ali Patterson, Jaelyn Smith, Colt Hendrix, Lee Hendrix, Ty Montgomery, and Sydney Montgomery; and her great-great-grandchildren, Clara Hendrix, Creek Hendrix, Elliot Hendrix, and Sadie Hendrix.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith; her parents, Eula and Dewey Anglin; her infant daughter, Christine Smith; her brothers, Mack Anglin, Ted Anglin, and Jerry Wayne Anglin; her sisters, Lucille Robertson and June Nicholson; her sister-in-law, Sandra Anglin; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Martin and Tommy Robertson.

Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parsons Mortuary. Visitation will resume on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
