Joe Paul Myracle, age 59, of Parsons, TN passed away on Friday March 27, 2026 at Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, TN.
Joe Paul was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend. He was an employee of Lexington Electric System for 39 years, in the role of Line Foreman. He enjoyed interacting with the community in this role and has many fond memories of late nights restoring electricity during outages with his fellow linemen. Joe Paul was an avid outdoorsman and did not miss an opportunity to cast a line or chase whatever wildlife was in season, or not, at the time. Some of his favorite trips were to Colorado to elk and mule deer hunt and to Canada where he was able to kill a black bear. He spent many hours shooting guns, farming, hunting, and gathering with friends on his beloved family farm. He took great pride in keeping up the traditions on the farm started by his grandfather and father. Joe Paul also loved to be on the Tennessee River any chance he had, whether that be crappie fishing or cruising in the Baja on Sunday afternoons with his family and friends.
Joe Paul cherished his time spent with family and friends. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Lynette Myracle of Parsons, TN, a daughter Kelsey Myracle (Chase Johnson) of Parsons, TN, a son Jake Myracle (Becky Brown) of Cape Girardeau, MO, his mother Patty Ann Burkhead of Parsons, TN, his step-mother, Janet Myracle of Parsons, TN, two granddaughters, Liesl and Rue Myracle of Cape Girardeau, MO, a step-sister, Jennifer Bischoff of Nashville, TN, a step brother, John Ivey of Camden, TN, and his beloved pets, Bo and Cooper. He also leaves behind many friends who he considers family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Myracle, his paternal grandparents Warren and Mary Sue Myracle, his maternal grandparents Doug and Mary Katherine Hayes, his father-in-law Jack Vise Houston, mother-in-law Mcneva Houston, and his step-father Joe Lane Burkhead.
