Johnnie Sue Bedingfield

Johnnie Sue "Nanny" Bedingfield received a call to her eternal home on Friday November 26, 2021. A call that came with a huge reward, a great reunion with her precious daughter Tammy and granddaughter Dana. 

Johnnie was born on May 14, 1941. As a young woman she learned to work hard and take on whatever job was available to support her two young children. She worked in the garment industry until retirement as a seamstress and supervisor.

Nanny cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. She always ensured that everyone of them that crossed her threshold was safe, supported and loved. She played a huge role in their lives. She loved, she lectured, but she always listened.

We will always remember the strong, determined, fiercely independent woman she was and her Beauty will forever mark our family.

She is survived by one Son; Richard (Teresa) Bedingfield of Parsons, TN. Grandchildren; Beth (Jeremy) Adams, Richie Bedingfield, Jonathan Martin, Brandon Ivey, Brad (Casi) Ivey, Great Grandchildren; Roman Adams, Eva Adams, Cameron Bedingfield, Baleigh Bedingfield, Griffin Bedingfield, Jaston Martin, Weston Martin, Brooklyn Ivey, Brayden Ivey, Elliana Emmersyn, Enslee Ivey, Great Great Grandchild; Kennedy Smith, Brothers; Holland (Susan) Conrad, Fred (Jorlyn) Conrad, Jerry (Shelia) Conrad, Wilson (Gina) Conrad, Sisters; Mary Lou (Jerry) Harper, Martha (David) Wolfe, Onita Boggan, Host of Nieces and Nephews, Brother-in-law; Bill Burleson, Sister-in-law; Dorothy Cruse.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Jake & Lodie Conrad, Daughter; Tammy Martin, Granddaughter Dana Martin, Son-in-law; Terry Martin, Brothers; Lloyd Conrad & J C Conrad, Sisters; Joy Burleson & Juanita Hickerson, 2 Infant Siblings, Brother-in-laws; Ralph Boggan & Waborn Hickerson, Half Brother; Revo Cruse.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday November 27, 2021  from 3:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday November 28, 2021 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM. Visitation will continue on Monday November 29, 2021 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 29, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Yellow Springs Cemetery in Holladay, TN.
