Junior Bawcum Obituary

 

Junior Bawcum, age 75, of Bath Springs TN, passed away January 18, 2022.

He was born September 5, 1946 in Holladay TN, the son of Lloyd Ray and Wilbur Jean(Haynes) Bawcum.

He graduated from Parsons High School, where he met the love of his life, Wanda. They were married April 16, 1965.

Over the years Junior held various jobs, however, in his heart and ours he will forever be a master gardener.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Wanda (Emmons) Bawcum and his parents, Lloyd and Wilbur Bawcum.

He is survived by four children: Susan(Brian) Buchanan of Water Valley, MS; Tina Courtright(Special friend, Darrel Miller) of Lexington, TN; Art(Diana) Bawcum of Bath Springs, TN; Jim Bawcum(Special friand, Brittany Connelly) of Ingalls, IN. He is also survived by one sister, Debbie(Ralph) Tubbs, of Holladay, TN.

He has eight grandchildren: Will and Zach Buchanan; Kristen, Shawn, and Ryan Courtright; Haden and Shelby Bawcum; and Jackson Bawcum. He also has one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 22, 2022, from 10:00am-2:00pm at Decaturville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm with Brother Haden Bawcum officiating, with burial to follow at Parsons City Cemetary.
