Junior Maxell Currin II, known as "Buddy" to his friends and family, age 48, of Sugar Tree, TN passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 following a month long stay at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following complications from a fall.
Buddy was born in Union City, TN, raised in Sugar Tree, TN and graduated Riverside High School in 1994. For many years, he worked as an Industrial welder for Magnetek, Vulcan Materials, RJS Industries, and Cupples J&J Co.
In 1997, Buddy married his high school sweetheart, Misty Harris Currin. For the last 27 years, Buddy and Misty built a mosaic of their life together. Millions of tiny moments that created their love story.
Buddy was a lover of animals and nature. Always having a dog by his side, he lived his life. Spending most of it outdoors, whether it was deer hunting, fishing, gardening, mowing, camping, or just sitting, he would always find a reason to build a campfire.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Junior Maxell Currin of Parsons, TN; his mother, Nancy Fitzgerald Chronister of Parsons, TN; his Papa Kenneth Chronister of Parsons, TN, and his sister, Tonia Currin Cruse of Sugar Tree, TN.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving wife, Misty; Brothers, Zech Taylor of Parsons, TN, and Maxwell Currin of Holladay, TN; Sister, Barbara Tucker of Sugar Tree, TN, and step mother, Sherry Currin of Parsons, TN. His nieces, nephews, and cousins will also feel his absence including a wide circle of friends.
Visitation with family will be Friday, June 14, 2024 from 5pm to 9pm at Beacon Baptist Church in Parsons, TN and Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10am until time of Memorial Service at Noon at Beacon Baptist Church with burial to immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Sugar Tree, TN.
Buddy had the biggest heart and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
