Marjorie D. Townsend

Mrs. Marjorie D. Townsend age 95 of Parsons, TN. passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2022 at her home in Parsons, TN.

Marjorie grew up in Macon and Trousdale counties in Tennessee. Later upon her graduation from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, she came to Decatur County as a Home Demonstration Agent. Shortly after arriving in Parsons, she met Edwin Townsend who was the love of her life. Marjorie was a perfectionist in all she did which included cooking, sewing, needle working, quilting, flowers, and running her home. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Parsons,.

She is survived by her daughter; Karin (Tim) Davis of Bartlett, TN.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Edwin C. Townsend, parents; Carl & Ida Duncan, sons; Edwin Townsend Jr. and Duncan Townsend, brother; Ralph Duncan, sister; June Peters.

Visitation for Marjorie will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2023 from 12:00PM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2023 at 1:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Parsons City Cemetery. Bro. Earl Dickerson officiating.
