Miss. McKenna Young, age 11, passed away on June 13, 2026.
With profound love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of McKenna, a beautiful young girl whose pure soul left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
McKenna lived life with a vibrant and playful spirit. To know her was to know a smile like no other and a contagious laugh that could brighten even the darkest room. Whether she was expressing her deep love for horses, affectionately calling them "sugar," or filling the room with laughter while playing with Nerf (or even finger) guns, her joy was genuine and infectious.
A lover of the color purple, McKenna brought warmth, happiness, and unconditional love to her family and friends. Though she was taken far too soon and her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the beautiful light she shared with the world will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
McKenna is survived by her father, Beau (Candice) Young of Smyrna, Tennessee; her siblings, Ayden Parsley, Averie Parsley, Brileigh Young, Kinslee Young, and Brooks Harris; her grandparents, Lonny (Kim) Young of Decaturville, Tennessee; her great-grandfather, Donny Morgan of Parsons, Tennessee; her uncles, Brenton (Stephanie) Young of Parsons, Tennessee, Jonathan (Madison) Quarles; her great-aunt, Tiffany (Darryl) Patterson of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; and her cousins, Deklan Young, Lila Young, Lexie Patterson, Jensen Quarles, and Aspen Quarles.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Landrie Harris; her great-grandparents, Peggy Morgan, Lonny Young, and Rachel Oman; and her great-great-aunt, Dean Cottrell.
Funeral services for Miss. McKenna Young were held on Wednesday July 1, 2026, at 1:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed in the Iron Hill Cemetery.
