Nancy Ann Inman Obituary

Mrs. Nancy Ann Inman, age 82, of Lexington, TN passed away Thursday July 17, 2025, at TriStar Skyline Trauma Center in Nashville, TN.

Nancy, or “Nana” as she was known by her family and friends, was loved by everyone that knew her. Interesting conversation and good meals or treats were always waiting at Nana’s house. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens as well as cooking for her family. She was the family expert for all things gardening and cooking. Her knowledge in a variety of topics came from her love of reading which started as a child. She constantly read the Bible, novels (every Stephen King novel), magazines, newspapers and about every free e-book on Amazon that interested her. Most of all she loved entertaining family at her house, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, nephews and their children. A house full of family at holidays and special occasions was her joy. She loved all animals and her “pet” racoons, foxes, possums and squirrels could always find a treat at Nana’s. Her constant companion in her later years was her dog, Dixie, who will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her son, Mike Inman of Lexington, TN; daughter, Leigh Ann (Tim) Johnson of Lexington, TN; brothers, Mark (Priscilla) Mays of Parsons, TN, and David Mays of Linden, TN; grandchildren, Brandon Inman, Ryan (Emily) Lackey, Josh (Anjelika) Lackey, and Emma Johnson; great grandchildren, Cooper Lackey, Ezekiel Lackey, Julie Lackey, and Stephen Lackey; one niece and two nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J W Inman, parents, Patra & Robert Mays.
