Ronald W. Slain

Ronald William Slain was born on April 18, 1947 to Donald and Doris Slain in Anderson, Indiana.

Ron Graduated from Summitville High School in 1965. He also graduated from Ind. State College in Angola, Indiana in 1973. He worked as a mechanical engineer for General Motors for 30 years, then Ron worked for Wellman Products Group till Retirement in 2012.

Ron enjoyed hunting with his father-in-law Leroy Rushing where he gave his heart to the lord. He also enjoyed golfing, watching Alabama Football Games, and spending time with his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Doris Slain, his grandparents Bessie Thurston Ira and Ethel Slain, his in laws Leroy and Lyndal Rushing, brother-in-law Terry White.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years Jackie Slain. Their children Stephanie Moore (Lowery) and Dustin Slain, by his sisters-in-law Barbara Lee (Jerry) and Lila White. Ron also is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Ron will be held on Friday October 27, 2023 from 11:00AM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 27, 2023 at 2:30PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the Sardis Ridge Cemetery in Parsons, TN. Bro. Jonathon Downs officiating.
